Kwark heated undersuit

The KWARK heating undersuit is designed for dry suit users performing long cold water dives, as well as for divers who want to improve comfort during shorter dives or in slightly warmer waters using external batteries, preferably with power regulation. 

When using a heated undersuit, keep the following points in mind:

• When planning a dive, it’s important to consider that wearing a heated undersuit affects the saturation of breathing gases in the blood. Therefore, plan your dives conservatively.
• Always plan your dives so that the capacity of the battery used is sufficient to operate the heating set for the entire duration of the dive.

This heated undersuit, based on the well-proven NAVY EXTREME undersuit, is very warm even without the heating on. Even when turned off and completely submerged, it maintains high thermal insulation parameters. Made of highly elastic knit fabric, it is the most comfortable undersuit on the market in this thermal protection class.

The heating system consists of ten heating panels, with a total power of up to 80 watts. Lower power consumption than in other similar products allows for longer dives with the heating on, or the use of a smaller battery. This power is sufficient thanks to the Navy Extreme’s excellent thermal insulation, as well as its excellent moisture absorption and transport. It ensures thermal comfort even during long dives with a scooter in water temperatures of 4 degrees Celsius. To avoid overheating during decompression at the end of such a dive, Kwark recommend using a battery with adjustable power. The panels are close to the internal surface, allowing most of the heat generated to warm the diver’s body, not the water in a lake or sea. The right and left sides are two independent heating systems, each terminated with a plug. They are connected using the supplied T-adapter.

If one panel fails, the others will continue to operate uninterrupted. Damage to a panel doesn’t necessarily require major repairs or the insulation needs to be replaced. You can purchase the damaged component and replace it yourself. This also applies to the insulation itself, without the panels.

The undersuit is protected against short circuits by fuses. These are easily replaceable, mounted in connection boxes, accessible from the inside in pockets on the belly, separately for the left and right sides. The boxes contain additional ports for connecting socks and gloves. These are sealed with caps. When purchasing heated gloves or socks with the undersuit, choose a set with cables for the undersuit (a less expensive option). Upon request, Kwark can route the cables in tunnels and connect them to the port. This solution allows you to remove the cables yourself when the gloves or socks are not in use, preventing them from getting in the way and getting damaged. The entire system has an IP67 protection rating.

Above the step there are grommets for the P-valve hose.

After removing the panels, the undersuit can be machine washed using mild, soap-based detergents. Removing and reinserting the heating panels is very simple. Simply remove the three plugs from the sockets located in the boxes located in the pockets on the stomach. Now you can slide the panels out of the pockets on the back, sleeves, and thighs, pull the cables out of the tunnels, and remove the connection box along with the chest panel and the glove power cable.

If you plan to dive in slightly warmer conditions when you do not want to turn on the heating (e.g. in the summer), you can remove the panels and use only the undersuit, which will undoubtedly extend the life of the heating.

For transport, the undersuit should be rolled up, starting from the bottom of the legs, to avoid kinking the pant legs. A protective cover is included for transport and storage, ensuring the undersuit’s durability.

The undersuit does not include a battery or an inlet valve with a power cable connection to the inside of the dry suit.
