KWARK heated gloves are designed for dry suit users performing long dives in cold water, as well as for divers who want to improve comfort during shorter dives or in slightly warmer waters using external batteries with power regulation.

This regulation is especially important for long decompression dives and when there is a significant difference in water temperature between the target and decompression stop depths.

When using heating gloves, keep the following points in mind:

• When planning a dive, consider that the use of heating elements affects the saturation of blood with respiratory gases. Therefore, plan your dives conservatively.
• Always plan your dives so that the capacity of the battery you are using is sufficient to operate your heater for the duration of the dive.

These gloves, made from the proven Polartec Windbloc® material, are very warm even without heating. Thanks to their excellent insulation and excellent moisture absorption and transport, they effectively protect divers’ hands from heat loss. Even when turned off and fully submerged, the gloves maintain high thermal protection parameters.

Heating is provided by a heating element running across the entire back of the hand and around the wrist, with a maximum power of 20 watts for each glove. The power depends on the glove size to ensure similar heat delivery per cm². It is positioned close to the inner surface, allowing most of the generated heat to warm the diver’s hands.

The gloves are protected against short circuits by a fuse. The fuse is easy to replace, located on the power cord in the connector that distributes power to both gloves, or in the warmer’s connection box, depending on which version you’re using.

The gloves are slightly longer at the wrist to allow for good warming of this area from both the top and bottom. They are intentionally not loose at this point to avoid any problems when putting on a dry glove.

Connecting the gloves is very simple. Approximately 35-38 cm of power cable should be released from the cuff. Grip the glove’s plug between your thumb and bent index finger. Wrap the power cable around your hand and connect the two parts of the plug. The plug fits tightly to achieve the IP67 seal, so you need to hold it firmly with your fingers, especially when disconnecting. Using both hands makes this easy, even with gloves on. Pay particular attention to the cables, ensuring they are not kinked anywhere and to avoid tugging or forcing them. Wrapping excess cable around your hand protects it from tearing and kinking, ensuring a longer installation life.

There is a video filmed by Kwark below showing how to connect the gloves. Excess cable can be pulled into the insulation, coiled into loops near the box, and secured with a zip tie.

The gloves can be washed by hand by washing your hands with soap while wearing the gloves, after securing the plugs, for example, by connecting them to the power cord. Spin cycles are acceptable, but do not wring or squeeze. Placing them on a towel and gently pressing them with another towel is acceptable.

The gloves come with a bag for transport and a power cable according to the selected version.
