Kwark Heated Vest
The KWARK heated vest is designed for dry suit users performing long dives in cold water, as well as for divers who want to improve comfort during shorter dives or in slightly warmer waters using external 12V batteries with voltage stabilization and power regulation.
When using a heated vest, keep the following points in mind:
- When planning a dive, consider that using a heated vest affects the saturation of breathing gases in the blood. Therefore, plan your dives conservatively.
- Always plan your dives so that the battery capacity used is sufficient to operate the heated vest for the entire duration of the dive.
Based on NAVY material, a well-proven material used in undersuits, this vest is very warm even without heating. Thanks to its good insulation and excellent moisture absorption and transport, it effectively protects the diver’s body from heat loss. Even when turned off and fully submerged, the vest maintains high thermal protection parameters.
Heating is provided by four independent electric panels with a total power of 50 watts. In the event of a panel failure, the others will continue to operate uninterrupted. The panels are located close to the internal surface, allowing most of the generated heat to warm the diver’s torso.
The vest is protected against short circuits by a fuse. The fuse is easily replaced, accessible by unfastening the internal zipper at the bottom of the front.
Additional protection against the “slow-boiled frog effect” is a thermal switch that cuts off the vest’s power supply when the temperature exceeds 45 degrees Celsius.
The back of the vest is extended, doesn’t ride up, and provides good back protection. The shortened front allows for easy attachment and routing of the P-valve hose.
The panels must be removed for washing. Removing and reinserting the heating panels is very simple. After removing the panels, the vest can be machine washed using a mild, soap-based detergent.
The vest comes with a cover that allows for transport and storage in a position that is safe for the durability of the vest.
The vest is CE certified.
