The Closed Buoy 22/180 cm is a high‑visibility, fully sealed surface marker buoy designed for divers who require dependable performance

The Closed Buoy 22/180 cm is a high‑visibility, fully sealed surface marker buoy designed for divers who require dependable performance during ascent, decompression, and surface signalling. With a height of 180 cm and a 22 cm diameter, this buoy offers excellent stability and visibility in open water, making it suitable for recreational, technical, and professional diving environments. Equipped with both an OPR (Over‑Pressure Relief) valve and a metal oral inflation valve, it provides a robust, reliable system for safe inflation and pressure regulation at depth.

A key safety feature of this buoy is the OPR valve, which automatically vents excess internal pressure. This prevents over‑inflation during ascent, where expanding air could otherwise damage the buoy or cause seam failure.

The OPR valve:

  • Protects the buoy from pressure‑related damage
  • Ensures safe, controlled venting during ascent
  • Maintains structural integrity over repeated use

This makes the buoy particularly suitable for deeper deployments where pressure changes are more significant.

The buoy includes a durable metal oral inflation valve, offering a reliable alternative inflation method when a regulator or inflator hose is not used.

The metal construction provides:

  • Enhanced durability compared to plastic valves
  • Smooth, efficient airflow for easy oral inflation
  • A secure one‑way mechanism to prevent backflow
  • A push‑to‑deflate function for controlled air release

This valve is ideal for divers who prefer manual inflation or require redundancy in their buoyancy signalling equipment.

The buoy is made from high‑strength, abrasion‑resistant fabric designed to withstand repeated use in saltwater environments. Welded or reinforced seams ensure long‑term durability, while the bright colour maximises visibility in low‑light or high‑swell conditions. A stainless‑steel D‑ring or reinforced attachment point is typically located at the base, allowing secure connection to reels, spools, or lift lines. The closed‑cell design prevents the buoy from collapsing if submerged after deployment.

This buoy is suitable for:

  • Technical and decompression diving
  • Drift diving and offshore conditions
  • Surface signalling for boats and support teams
  • Training environments requiring reliable buoyancy markers

Its combination of height, sealed construction, and pressure‑relief safety features makes it a dependable choice for divers who need a robust, high‑performance SMB.
